Grand Lake OK Attractions: Talbot Library & Museum




Talbot Library & Museum is a unique historical museum/library located in Delaware County of Oklahoma. The museum is located in the city of Colcord, with the sole purpose of preserving history. It specializes in historical research data as well as that of genealogical value. More specific data is available for the North East section of Oklahoma, the North West section of Oklahoma, and the Old Cherokee Indian Territories.

Several awards and honors have been given to Talbot Library & Museum including the "Indian Territory Award for Preservation of State and Local History." This award is given by the Oklahoma Heritage Association.

This Grand Lake OK attraction has also been honored to receive the "Outstanding Publication Award." The library and museum is also home to the TL&M Genealogy Magazine from Oklahoma Museums.
